Stefanel AW14, Look 4
Here it is: the fourth look from my collaboration with Stefanel, Italy. This was one of my favourite looks from the collection. There was something about this particular selection that, in my opinion, would appeal to women of all ages. While the chunky knits and seasonal greys announced the arrival of autumn-winter, the coy splashes of mustard yellow beckoned the following season with a simultaneous nod to the last. This, to me, is my idea of smart fashion: a brand that offers garments that are stylish but not too serious, demurely feminine but not at all boring and, above all, a brand that has quality products without the ridiculous price tag. These looks have an almost fanciful utilitarianism to them: they are, as they should be, comfortable and yet at the same time they are exquisitely chic. In them you feel as though you could go from brunch with your girlfriends, to a business meeting full of prospects. Alternatively, you could see yourself simply hanging out at an open exhibition. Hence, we shot this just outside of the Saatchi Gallery. It's a beautiful court-yard style location surrounded by elegantly decorated restaurants, where the SW3 diners had chosen to eat Al Fresco that particular day. It was such a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere that I did not feel nervous about this shoot. Then again, I did have a very supportive team.
As always, I am delighted to have been able to work with this elegant and thoughtful brand. Stay tuned for the final Look from my collaboration with Stefanel, Italy.
